Self Directed Support
(Also known as Personal Budgets [PB])

In conjunction with the Unitary Authorities Cheshire East and Cheshire West & Chester, Age Concern Cheshire is responsible for the promotion of Self Directed Support for people in Cheshire who are 65 years and over, and the offer of a Broker Service for those that desire assistance.

If one of the Unitary Authorities assesses and agrees that you need support, you may choose to receive this by way of an Personal Budget to allow you to self direct the care and support you need.

The monies are paid by a Direct Payment. You must use this to provide things in line with your support plan which you agree with your Social Worker.

You can use Self Directed Support to get the right services for you, giving you more choice and control in your life, if you want to.
