Volunteer Mentors will also be able to
offer help and support with day to day money management problems.
What Is Mentoring?
Mentoring is a one-to-one, non-judgmental relationship in
which an individual voluntarily gives time to support and
encourage another. The Mentoring Service can help:-
- Provide help and support to people receiving Direct
Payments,
- Provide support to people who are interested in using
Direct Payments,
- Provide ongoing support whenever it is needed,
- Visit service users in their own homes.
What Can A Volunteer Mentor
do?
A volunteer mentor can help with the following tasks:-
- Help you set up day to day management systems,
- Help you keep your Direct
Payments bookkeeping up to date,
- Help and support you with any money management problems
you might have
Who can be a Volunteer Mentor?
Mentors are volunteers who range in age usually from 18 upwards
. A mentor should be:
