How do I make a referral?

Referrals to the IMCA Service will be received directly from the decision-maker (the NHS body or local authority involved in determining what decision is in the best interests of the person lacking capacity). The IMCA is not the decision-maker.

Referrals to this Service can come through a variety of routes including telephone, face-to-face, letter, email or by downloading a referral form and posting or faxing it to:
