| About
Age Concern Cheshire Age Concern Cheshire is committed
to making later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for all
older people in Cheshire.
It seeks to achieve this by providing a range of care and support
services to empower and enable older
people to continue to live full and active lives, to participate
in community activity, and to remain in good mental and physical
health for as long as possible.
It is inevitable that a time may come when older people may need
additional help and support to continue to live as they wish, be
it at home or in a residential setting. Age Concern Cheshire hopes
to help to provide that support.
An important part of our work is representing older people and
making their views, wishes and needs known to health and social
care, housing, leisure and educational providers.
Age Concern Cheshire is an independently registered charity but
works with others, including Age
Concern England, in the Age Concern Federation.
The charity raises much of its income from trading and fundraising.
We hope the public will support the charity by purchasing insurance
and financial products, making donations
and purchasing items from the charity shops,
buying Christmas cards and taking part in fundraising
events.
The organisation is very proud that over 650 people in Cheshire
volunteer to help the charity regularly.
Volunteers work in every activity
within the organisation and find the experience to be very rewarding. |
